In the beautiful setting of the Sala Affreschi at Palazzo Isimbardi, we took part in the event “Women Top Managers in Italy: Challenges and Opportunities”, organized by the Italo-Swedish Chamber of Commerce Assosvezia.
It was a valuable opportunity for discussion, full of insights and testimonies on the role of women in management and on the challenges that still need to be addressed in order to achieve true gender equality.
Among the speakers, our CEO Giovanna Giulia Spadoni shared her experience as the first woman manager of an Italian family business, bringing the perspective of someone who experiences leadership every day as an opportunity for growth and change.
The discussion focused on gender equality as a strategic value, on the biases that begin already during educational paths, when STEM subjects are still perceived as “more masculine”, and on how diversity is a resource that can enrich companies and generate innovation.
Thank you to the Italo-Swedish Chamber of Commerce Assosvezia and its President Antonio Tubiolo for the invitation, and to all the speakers for their valuable contributions: Francesca L'Abbate from H&M, Renata Vachova from Alfa Laval, Debora Mendola from Transcom, and Simona Alberini from ABB S.p.A.
Special thanks also to the Ambassador of Sweden to Italy, Karin Höglund, for her inspiring remarks, and to Diana De Marchi, Delegate Councillor of the Metropolitan City of Milan.
Coming together on occasions like this is always a great opportunity for shared commitment among institutions, businesses and people, and for recognizing and valuing female talent.
